Tarzan by David Yates, yes or no?

It's been more than a year now that the director of the last four Harry Potter movies is developing for Warner Bros a new adaptation of the Tarzan adventures. What is known:

- Pre-production for the movie was launched, then stopped by Warner (budgetary concern?). Apparently, it has been relaunched somewhat. Many actors name have been spoken since, even if officially, the movie hasn't been confirmed!

- Tarzan will be played by Alexander Skarsgard, David Yates chose this actor since the beginning.

- Samuel L. Jackson will play his sidekick, a mercenary named George Washington Williams. Jackson has been attached to the project at the beginning, then he was replaced by Jamie Foxx, before becoming the contender again.

- The vilain will be played by Christoph Waltz, which will make this Tarzan a little Django Unchained réunion! He will play a Belgian soldier, captain Rom, who wants to capture Tarzan.

- Jane was to be incarnated by Jessica Chastain, but unfortunately it's not the case anymore. The studio wants a Margot Robbie in the part, as confirmed on 2014, January the 18th.

- The story will take place in the 19th century, at a time where Tarzan got back to civilization. Queen Victoria will send him on a mission in Congo, where he will have to fight the owner of a diamond mine, with the help of a mercenary, Civil War veteran, who feels guilt for the way he treated Natives Americans.

- To convince Warner to relaunch the project, David Yates shot a 5-minutes pre-viz reel. No one will say he's not motivated!

That's all for now, let's hope that the reel as well as the cast assembled will be enough to convince Warner to greenlit this new adaptation. Let's remind that the last one was released on the big screen in 1998 (Tarzan and the Lost City).
