What is Sister Love?

To enter in detail into the novel’s plot would be rather counter-productive, since the discovery of Sister Love’s mysteries is gradual in the novel. I can nevertheless say that the novel is of the “superhero” genre, anchored in our reality as much as possible. The largest part of the story takes place in 2014, and a chapter out of two is a flashback featuring the main character. At the contemporary time there are three main characters: - Sister Love, a mysterious African woman who lived in the United States - Steven Thorne, a... [Lire la suite]

Sister Love and Marianne made with Heromachine 2.5!

There's a software on the web named Heromachine which allows to created superheroes illustrations. Here is the link if you're interested: http://www.heromachine.com/heromachine-2-5-character-portrait-creator/ There's a version 3 which I'll test later. In the meantime, here are Sister Love and Marianne as I could recreate them with the software. As you will see I love simple but (to me) efficient costumes:

A new sale for the French version of "Who Is Sister Love?" on May the 7th!

Thanks to the buyer of May the 7th for "Mais Qui Est Donc Sister Love ?", the French version of "Who Is Sister Love?". I hope he/she will like the novel! It's my first sale since March, which had led to an enthusiastic comment from Vivien Prigent: http://normantrayeng.canalblog.com/archives/2014/03/23/29502762.html Thanks a lot for this buy, and here is the update on the sales for the two books: Mais Qui Est Donc Sister Love ? : 72 (64 free dowloads, 8 buys), 2 positive comments (4.5 out of 5 on Amazon.fr) ... Revision of "Who Is Sister Love?"

Following the notes Vivien Prigent sent me since his enthusiastic reading of "Mais Qui est Donc Sister Love", I made a text revision as follow : I made Steven Thorne a candidate at an absolutely impossible election in the United States of America: Gouvernor of Washingon D.C.! I had made researches on the internet, but they apparently directed me on the elected of the Washington State, which isn't the same at all! Steven Thorne therefore is now candidate to the MAYOR of Washington election, and I added a line which says... [Lire la suite]

Second comment about "Mais qui est donc Sister Love ?"... also positive!

On the Casus No roleplaying game message board, one of the posters asked the title of my novel, I gave it to him and indicated that I would send him the ebook, but he insisted to buy it on Amazon, which was a very nice gesture. That's my first sale in 3 months! And not only did he buy it, he also read it right away, and this Sunday, March the 23rd, he was kind enough to post a very positive comment on Amazon.fr (translation from French by me)! 4.0 stars out of 5 Super supers! 23 march 2014 by... Gods & Avatars / Aacadia VR first draft finished!

Yesterday I wrote the word "FIN" (THE END) in the first draft of my "novelita" (longer than a novella, shorter than a novel?). It contains about 54,000 words, a little longer than "Qui est donc Sister Love ?". Now I will begin the terrible correcting phase! I am more than a little proud to get to the end of a second text, now we'll see if it will generate more interest than Sister Love did as of now, which wouldn't be that difficult, let's be honest. I still hesitate about the definitive title of what is... [Lire la suite]

Sister Love in January, no news... almost!

Did I miss a sale in December? Anyway Amazon payed me 2 euros (some 2,8$), which bring the profits of Sister Love to an astounding 16,31 euros (23$). The 20$ bar has been passed! No new review, still no movement on Kobo and Lulu, and still no contact for other people to talk about the books online. To be continued, meanwhile I have to finish my second novel, after all I write first and foremost for myself! One of my contacts, a talented artist and writer, Jeff Doten, posted on Facebook a... [Lire la suite]

The State of Sister Love for 2013!

The December month will eventually prove itself uneventful for Sister Love. No sale, no new commentary, and my attempts to have these books better known have given no result whatsoever so far.  It’s been about six months now since the books are on sale in both French and English versions. Amazon recently changed its policy and doesn’t wait anymore that the royalties get to 10 euros to pay them. So I received two supplemental amounts of 2.90€, which brings the total income generated by Sister Love to 14.31€ precisely (some 21$)! ... [Lire la suite]

Sister Love with the City of Heroes Character Creator

Apparently there is still a way to access the Character Creator of City of Heroes, but unfortunately it seems I don’t have the required updates… On the other hand there’s on the web a… Korean version of the Character Creator, which features the very first costume elements of the game! Since Sister Love was mainly built with basic elements, I could recreate her… It wasn’t easy, all texts were in Korean, and I couldn’t see my cursor. You certainly had to be motivated! But here she is in all her glory, saved for posterity! Well, almost,... [Lire la suite]

In memoriam: City of Heroes, one year already...

Sister Love was born in 2004 in City of Heroes. It was in that year that my friend Erwan, who had introduced me to the MMORPG (Massively multiplayer online role-playing game), the first I played being Dark Age of Camelot, showed me the latest game of this kind recently released in the US, City of Heroes. That was pure magic. The characters were lively, halfway between drawings and photo-real, the fight were perfectly staged and spectacular, and the poses completely « comic-booky ». The creation system was just... [Lire la suite]
