More interest for a #JohnCarter tv series?

That's what says Jim Sullos anyway, president of ERB inc, in the l'article linked below. The recent financial failure of John Carter seems to paralyze movie producers, even if they still show interest in the property. "There may be more interest in a television series than a sequel to the film." Modiphius Games will release #JohnCarter gameS!

Modiphius Games, who also owns the roleplaying game license for Conan, just announced that they are indeed the ones who has bought the John Carter license! Not only will they release the roleplaying game for Christmas of 2015 (with the same gaming system as Conan, the 2D20), but also in 2016 a miniatures game and a boardgame! http://www.modiphius.com/john-carter.html

The petition for #JohnCarter 2 available again!

For a few weeks the petition for John Carter 2 had been closed. Did it reach a 3-years limit after it was launched? Whatever the reason, it's now accessible again for whomever is willing to sign it, it can't hurt! We're currently at 13,338 signatures + 1,960 gathered from conventions at the beginning of the campaign in 2012, so a sum of 15,298. Let's hope this amount goes flying in the next months, who knows? Kerry Conran's demo reel for #JohnCarter of Mars in HD

Between the first attempt at an adaptation in 1936 and the one finally released in 2012, John Carter knew quite a few false starts. Juste before Disney bought the rights again, those were at Paramount. Robert Rodriguez was supposed to direct the movie in the beginning. A friend of Harry Knowles, the founder of the famous Aint'It Cool News website, and knowing about his passion for "A Princess of Mars", he made him hired as a consultant/co-producer.
