John Carter: new opportunities on the horizon?

A message from our “campaign chief” Jan Austin on the “Take me Back to Barsoom” Facebook page, which seems to point to the end of the hope for a sequel, but that other venues could materialize on the horizon:

“Yes, starting Monday, there will be new directions and new strategies beginning for John Carter, ERB, Inc, and the Back To Barsoom Group! Sohrab Osati and I met with Jim Sullos (the head of ERB Inc) a couple of weeks ago and will be meeting with him in the next week or so to come up with ideas of where our Back To Barsoom Group can help John Carter and ERB go in the near future. So as you hear an announcement made this morning, I can assure you the Back To Barsoom Group rem...ains diligent and committed to John Carter and ERB! And, in the meantime, and to answer Maegan Langer who began the ‪#‎JohnCarterTaughtMe on Twitter, I would like to say....

THANK YOU FOR TAKING THIS JOURNEY WITH ME...
#JohnCarterTaughtMe commitment, diligence, persistence, patience, dedication and to believe that just maybe we could make a difference. #JohnCarterTaughtMe that many of you, in fact many thousands of you, (and probably in the millions) felt the same as I did. And I have made some long-time and ever-lasting friends.

Some of us have gone 'Back To Barsoom' together for different reasons, but whatever the reason, whether a love for John Carter, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Taylor Kitsch, Lynn Collins, James Purefoy and/or the cast & crew, or all of the above, we all came together as we had the same goal, a John Carter (of Mars) sequel.

Many people over the past 2 1/2 years believed that the Back To Barsoom Group was created by Khanada Taylor & myself. The B2B group was created on Facebook by the 'Crew' of John Carter. As James Purefoy said not too long ago, this film was made with "a lot of love." They all believed in what they had created. And so did Pixar.

So to those who have participated and especially to those who have remained steadfast over the past 2 1/2 years, through all of our events you have supported and attended, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your commitment, diligence, persistence, patience, and for all the campaigning you brought to our efforts. Your dedication, without any expectation, other than a hope for a John Carter sequel, has been beyond stupendous. So to quote Taylor Kitsch to the B2B Group..."to the Best Damn fans on earth (and Mars) No regrets", I thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking this journey with me. And, to quote James Purefoy... "If only..." -Jan Austin

Let's keep that dedication and loyalty for John Carter moving forward! There's lots more to come...!”

To be continued…
