Cinemablend.com: 6 Reasons Disney Needs To Resurrect The John Carter Franchise!

http://www.cinemablend.com/new/6-Reasons-Disney-Needs-Resurrect-John-Carter-Franchise-43550.html Excellent article which lists the reasons why Disney should ressurect the John Carter franchise! 1) Andrew Stanton and Taylor Kitsch want to make the sequels! It can seem of little importance, but it's not, especially in Andrew Stanton's case of course. He originated everything. He was the one who suggested to Dick Cook, then President of Disney Studios, to get the licence, which Paramount had just let go of. Stanton... [Lire la suite]

Tim Burton's Batman is one quarter of a century old this monday, June the 23rd!

We sometimes forget how much of a desert was the superhero movie genre in the 80ies. Superman has been tremendously succesful already thanks to the 1978 and 1980 movies. But in spite of them, since Superman 2, you could begin to see parodic elements due to the direction of Richard Lester. John Carter: the French ALLOCINE doesn't like, the viewers love it!

2014, June the 3rd : the French website Allociné give its advices of movies to see on TV. The three not to be missed are: Lethal Weapon 2, Promised Land and Zarafa. The movie NOT to see is John Carter, with this moronic critic:  “Adapted from Edgar Rice Burroughs by WALL-E’s dad, the movie had everything to be 2012’s Avatar. At least on paper, because on screen the feature film (which hurt VERY BADLY Disney’s accounts) offers a run-of-the-mill visual universe, an uninteresting scenario and a completely bland hero. Too bad…”... [Lire la suite]
